I'm a senior writer for Unlimited Magazine, published in New Zealand by IDG of the US whose global flagship is ComputerWorld.
We are planning to produce in conjunction with the University of Auckland Business School, an annual ranking of the best (and worst) governed companies in New Zealand.
Thus, we're looking for some intellectual property and methodology to help us and the business school staff evaluate companies.
We'd be very grateful for advice on where to find such IP. There's a huge job to be done here in NZ to get institutions to be active, to push good corporate governance and to highlight bad governance. For example, Brierley Investments, one of the country's largest companies, has destoryed several billion dollars of shareholder value over the past few years.
Unlimited Magazine was Business Magazine of the Year in the 2000 Qantas Media Awards, our biggest here. We are focused particularly on high technology and other innovative areas of the economy. To an extent we model ourselves on the likes of Fortune (but they've been at it a lot longer than us so they're better!).
All the best
