CIPE’s global cartoon competition illustrates and supports efforts to fight corruption and promote democracy and gender equality.
Promote democracy and perhaps win part of a cash prize pool totaling $5,000. Entries will be judged on originality, relevance to the competition topic, creativity, universal message, wit, and visual appeal. Through an online voting process on the CIPE web site, the general public will choose winners from among ten finalists in each category.
CIPE will accept original unpublished illustrations on its web site and via mail effective immediately, until 23:59 UTC/GMT on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Captions are not required but, if included, English language submissions are preferred. Submissions will be accepted in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish, if they include an English translation at the time of submission.
