KBR: Not One of Our Favorites

Lawyers for a former female employee of defense contractor KBR Inc. argued in federal court Tuesday that the company had turned a blind eye to sexual harassment, fueling an environment that she claimed led to a rape by a colleague in 2005 while they worked together in Iraq.

KBR, formerly owned by Halliburton Co., seems to be taking an increasingly controversial path… billing practices that raised the concern of federal auditors scrutinizing the company’s work in Iraq, suing a retail shareowner for submitting a popular proxy proposal, and possibly contributing to the rape of its own employees.
