The Board of the Employees’ Retirement System of the State of Hawaii (“ERS”) is searching for an experienced executive to become the Executive Director of ERS.

Hawaii: Director of ERS

The Executive Director of ERS performs as the Chief Executive Officer. The Executive Director of ERS: 

• Oversees the management of all benefit programs
• Communicates and works directly with the ERS Board, State and County officials, legislature, and other stakeholders on issues and matters related to these programs
• Is responsible for implementation of the ERS Board’s policies and decisions and for providing leadership to the ERS management team and staff in developing, recommending and implementing short and long term strategies to accomplish the mission, goals, and objectives of the ERS.
• Serves as principal spokesperson with external groups including public employers, employee and retiree organizations, legislature, members, the media, and other stakeholders.
