An opportunity – Calvin Quek is looking to hire a Sustainable Finance Campaigner for the Beijing office of Greenpeace. Let’s help him find the best candidate for this opportunity by passing the word on to people in our networks.
The role: This person will be responsible for engaging the investment and financial communities towards helping China achieve a more environmental sustainable future. They will be working closely with Calvin, leveraging the extensive contacts Greenpeace already has in the community.
Lots of travel opportunities: Pack your bags and be ready to where the investors are – Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York, Oslo, and other less common places where the environmental problems are at – the Amazon, Artic and more.
Training opportunities abound: Greenpeace supports staff development programs – CFA, CAIA, Bloomberg etc. And they have a complete set of financial tools already – Bloomberg, Reuters, and multiple databases to draw from.
Skills and Requirements required: Greenpeace is looking for someone with strong financial/investment/energy consulting experience. Salary: Greenpeace pays a salary competitive to the NGO sector, so it is decent but cannot compete with the financial/corporate sector. However, Greenpeace certainly can compete in the excitement and meaning of work that this role calls for.
